TO JOHN AND ANGELO ON THEIR RETIREMENT

Here's a tale about two guys you all know,
It's the story of the business and friendship
between John and Angelo.
The guys are retiring from G & A Auto Repair,
That's why we're all here at this gala affair.

It started back in '65,
Angelo and Angie were on their honeymoon,
John called and told Angelo, "Better get back here soon!"
They had bought the Shell station; it was all theirs' to run,
A 34 year partnership had just begun.

With all their hard work, the business expanded and grew,
In 1984 due to John's "charm," they were selling cars, too.
The years flew by; they worked hard night andday,
Now they will finally have some time to play.

John loves trips to Atlantic City…it's his only vice,
You'll find him at the craps table rolling the dice.
Gilda hopes he'll be outdoors gardening and killing the grubs,
And, each week he'll go back to the "place"….
who else could possibly trim the shrubs?

Angelo's thinking of taking up golf, which makes Angie smile,
Maybe then he won't be following her
down the supermarket aisle.
He'll learn the computer, become a whiz……
and outsurf us all on the net,
And even have time to spend at the beach;
life is as good as it gets.

Who have worked so hard…their whole lives through.
